A Day in the Life of Brooke and Corre

Hello from Henley! Here we are in the above photo. As we are not the best with words, we've decided to take a step back and show you some context via pictures for these crazy stories other rowers have shared.

Here is the lovely house all 18 of us athletes have been calling home for the past two weeks. It is technically three houses connected and we live in the two on the left.

We wake up for a 6:30 a.m. breakfast (the a.m. is pretty important here).

Then, we commute via foot to practice. The roads are very narrow as you can see! It's somewhat terrifying when a trailer of boats flies by.

A lovely trek through the forest on one of the many public foot paths.

The hilllllls are alive with the sound of muuuuusicccc!

Mooooooooo!

Finally we've arrived at the venue for the Henley Women's Regatta where we've been rowing out of for the past couple of days.

A view of how the boats travel (in 2 pieces).

Here is the Henley Rowing Club which our boats called home for the first week.

A shot of the Thames from the Henley Rowing Club - check out those clouds!

Heading into town between practices.

Don't let Coach see us buying desserts at the weekly market!

Don't worry, we also got some fresh fruits and veggies!

It's cool to casually pass another part of English Culture on our way back from town.

And so ends our day by a meeting with the coaches, preparing for this weekends races.

Speaking of races.. here is a link to the live feed!  http://www.hwr.org.uk/spectators
Both boats will be racing the senior eight - here is our bracket (don't forget we're 5 hours ahead here)

Cheers!
Corre and Brooke
